Green Valley Church should be a place where you feel like you become all that God intends and where you can find a place of significance in our community. Many people are investing in our community and beyond using their God-given strengths. Among other things they are building homes and baking cookies for families in Tijuana, making survival kits for the homeless, organizing charity boutiques selling hand-made items, collecting recyclables to collect cash for children’s programs, volunteering for T.A.P.S, a ministry for surviving families of military deaths, or R.S.V.P, a Retired Senior Voluntary Police program, just to name a few. We hope to help you find what you love to do and what you’re passionate about. Please mark on the communication card any Sunday if you would like to participate in any of our ministries listed below. Lead or Host a HomeGroup
Set up, organize or teach a Bible Study
Children’s Education
- Nurture children in the Nursery
- Teach Sunday School or assist as an Adult Helper
- Greet families as they arrive to Sunday School as a Greeter
- Plan, organize, or set up for Special Events
(ex:Veggie Tales Festival, Christmas Camp, Family Movie Nights)
- Plan, organize, teach, or volunteer to help at VBS
Worship Team
- Control the Audio/Sound during services
- Run or create the services’ Media
- Participate on the worship team as a Musician/Vocalist
Serve or follow up with families from the Doug’n Donuts
Help plan the Women’s Retreat
Prepare Coffee for Sunday’s services
Youth
- Counsel or volunteer to assist the High School Group
- Counsel or volunteer to assist the Junior High Group
- Counsel JH or HS kids at Forest Home Camp
- Drive JH or HS kids to events
- Pray or Mentor one on one with a student
Participate in planning the Men’s Conference
Assist in the Maintenance and repairs of the facility
Participate in planning the Camping Trip
Make compassion cards to distribute to families within the church
Assist with the Food Bank
Participate in planning the Family Soup Potluck
Lead prayer groups for the Marine Corp.
Office
- Volunteer to assist the Pastors & Staff
- Volunteer to assist the Elders
Make and deliver meals for the Meals Ministry
Become a Missionary’s liaison to pray and facilitate communication between them and the church
Pray for our church missionaries via email
Volunteer with the Play & Pray group
Become an email prayer partner on the Prayer Chain
Pray for the Sunday’s services with the Prayer Team
Participate in the Padres Breakfast
Learn, create and pray over beautiful quilts for the Quilt Ministry
Be an interpreter during worship services on the Sign Language Team
Help with the Women’s Christmas Outreach
Collect the offering on Sundays as an Usher
Assist with Broken Hallelujah
Greet people when they come in or provide assistance at the information booth on the Welcome Team
Participate with the Women’s Adventure Club
Serve food to the homeless at the Soup Kitchen with the Youth Group
Organize and contact people to be Greeters/Bulletin Distributors or pass out bulletins on Sunday mornings
Participate in planning and facilitating a Softball, Volleyball, or Golf Tournament
Prepare bread and materials for Communion
Set up and tear down chairs or tables for special events
